I didn’t think that a performance consisting of wiggling in a banana skirt could move people to tears. I didn’t think something like this would make it into the media!

I was commissioned to re-create Josephine Baker’s famous banana dance in honour of the late Patrick O’Connor (writer and critic) at his memorial concert held in Wigmore Hall. I was very touched by the response from that evening – it was very moving indeed.
